Using NudgeLater when your attention is overloaded
Many people, including people with ADHD, describe the same loop: something interesting appears, it competes with what you are doing, you leave the tab open “for later”, and later never comes. NudgeLater is built around breaking that loop with as little effort as possible. It is a small tool, not a medical product, and it will not replace advice from a professional.
Why the two-tap design matters
Any extra step is a chance to abandon the capture. That is why there is no Save button, no title field and no folder to choose. You share, you tap a time, you are back to what you were doing. The reminder is the only thing you have to trust.
A routine that works
- Capture without judging. When something pulls your attention, share it to NudgeLater and tap Tonight or This weekend. Do not read it now.
- Choose one of few options. Four presets means little deciding. Choose the closest and move on.
- Meet it once, at the right time. When the notification arrives, use Open if you have the energy, +1h if you do not, Done if it no longer matters.
Make the notification hard to ignore, not hard to bear
- Set Tonight to a time when you are usually free and not tired.
- Keep the phone’s notifications on for NudgeLater only, not for everything.
- If a reminder is often postponed, it may not matter. Done is a valid answer.
Avoid the “second inbox” trap
A reminder list can become one more pile. Keep it small:
- Use Tonight and This weekend rather than far-off dates.
- Look at Upcoming once a week and remove what no longer interests you.
- Only add what you truly want to come back to.
What NudgeLater does not do
It does not nag, score you or show streaks. It has no account, no ads and sends your content nowhere.
